W820
The W820 is a satellite communication terminal, specially developed for the control of W810 radio buoys. p>
The W820 uses Iridium* LEO satellities network (Low Earth Orbit satellities) , formed by 66 satellites orbiting the Earth. This satellite network provides continuous coverage of the globe (including terrestrial poles) providing a latency of messages less than a minute.
RS442 link interface allows to realize connections – between the apparatus and computer – also of considerable length (over 500 meters) and also in conditions of strong electromagnetic interference. p>
The W820 can be controlled through software dedicated to W810 radio buoy, operates independently and is recognized as a network interface device. p>
